To arouse public awareness to World Vision’s Child Sponsorship Program, a feature charity program “We Are Sponsors” will be broadcasted on MOME TV starting from 4th July.
The program highlights the pleasure and satisfaction of 12 celebrity child sponsors, including Sylvia Chang, Sammi Cheng, Mag Lam, Daisy Wong, Priscilla Wong, Kary Ng, Leo Ku, Vivian Chow, Candy Chea, Tony Mok and Karena Lam. An exhibition will also be held at Village Mall to showcase their correspondence and regular updates with their sponsored child.
The opening event was carried out at Village Mall 2F on 1st July. The ceremony was hosted by Amelia Che, Manager of World Vision of Macau Association; Joe Liu, Director of MOME; and Window Lei, President of Village Mall.
Liu appreciated the work of World Vision to fight worldwide poverty and prevent children from surviving and thriving in their community. To show support, MOME agreed to broadcast 12 episodes of “We Are Sponsors” charity feature programs on MOME TV platforms, where include buses, taxis and Royal Supermarket outlets, to call for public’s attention to the needs of children in developing countries.
Che explained Child Sponsorship Program is a most personal, effective way to fight poverty. By bringing essentials like clean water, nutrition and education to sponsored children, we are building a better future for them and the community.
Participants of Global Entrepreneurship Youth Conference 2017 (GEYC) visited MOME on 29th June under the organization of Entrepreneurship Society of UMSU.
Joe Liu, MOME’s Director introduced to 25 students from Macau, Mainland China and Vietnam on the market development and opportunities of local media market. He also shared stories behind the establishment of MOME and encourage them to take on dreams and risks.
“My sight was widened and I got to know more about the operation and business model of Macau enterprises, which is beneficial to learn about,” said one of the participants from Vietnam, “Their experiences inspired me a lot and I hope I can start up my own business one day.”
GEYC aimed to strengthen communications between young entrepreneurs and local students, hence to enhance their networking, critical thinking ability and competitiveness. The program consisted of a series of seminars, visitations and competitions.
MOME’s upcoming creative project Fook Union progressed through “Macao Youth Start-up and Innovation Contest” and representing Macao to take part in “Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2017”.
“Macao Youth Start-up and Innovation Contest” was initiated by Macau Government Economic Services, Education and Youth Affairs Bureau and Committee of Youth Start-up and Innovation. 10 enterprises were chosen based on criteria such as feasibility, potential, creativity and marketing plan, where they will be attending various start-up competitions in Shengzhen and Greater China.
Under the guidance of Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Hong Kong, Macau and General Office of the People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipality, “Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition” aims to gather youths in the area for resources exchange and strengthen the development of the innovation ecosystem and other aspects such as economy and technology.
MOME was awarded as “The Best Marketing Intelligence & Solutions of the year” and “Top 50 Industry Leaders” in Hong Kong Most Valuable Service Awards 2017 organized by the renowned international business magazine Mediazone.
Together with more than 50 winning enterprises, Executive Director Man Wong attended the award ceremony at the Excelsior on 18th May.

The two speakers shared on their entrepreneurial experience and gave insight on the opportunities and threats between Macau and Mainland China media environment, providing valuable suggestions to enthusiastic participants who wish to pursue career in media and marketing. Liu and Wong also encouraged students to take notice to the surroundings and be keen to raise out questions and problems, as existing dilemmas were the triggers to creation and innovation. Attending guests included Paul Pang, University of Macau Dean of students.
Organized by University of Macau Student Union, “One Belt, One Road: Recall The Elegant Past & Embark On A Neo-Renaissance” 98th Anniversary of 4th May Movement Commemoration Activities aims to encourage youths to take on challenges in the era of competition and learn from history. 65 participating colleges include City University of Macau, University of Hong Kong, National Taiwan University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Fudan University, Jinan University, etc.

Organized by Pan Mac Junior Chamber, the sharing session was hosted on 22nd April afternoon at Macao SME Service Center Auditorium, where how to formulate one’s professional career with the application and latest trend of Internet was explored.
Liu and Wong shared on how MOME transformed its business model from a mobile visual medium on bus to O2O2O marketing solutions, which enjoyed wide publicity recently. According to Liu, since the media coverage of MOME, either online and offline, was growing more mature, the company was keen to set up a new online purchase platform to assist clients and partners to further evolve their business via utilizing its marketing and distribution channels.
Other guest speakers also included Chi Hou Lok, Founder of Manner Production; and Hua Liang Li, Chief Administrative Officer of Tencent Dayuewang.
Director of MOME Joe Liu attended a guest lecture in Macau Polytechnic Institute (IPM) as the Vice President of Macau International Industrial Technology Development Association (AIDIT) on 15th March.
The board of council of AIDIT was invited to give sharing on the development and prospect of E-commerce to IPM’s junior students majoring e-business, both parties exchanged their thoughts and ideas in the 2-hour activity.
The President of AIDIT Ms Lee introduced the background of the organization and identified commercial opportunities in local market in the first session.
Penny Chao, the Chairman of AIDIT made an introductory of “WiFi Guide” project during the second part. He elaborated the future of internet-oriented platforms and encouraged students to make good use of current resources to fulfill their goals.
As the Vice President of the organization and an entrepreneur, Joe shared his personal experience of setting up his business.
He emphasized “being studious and alert to opportunities is the key to success”. He also agreed e-commerce is a global phenomenon and he is planning to invest more resources to the field to catch up with global development.
Macau Shopping Festival 2016 X MOMEplay Campaign had come to the end with overwhelming results: total participants exceeded 220,000 and the game is one of the longest and most popular MOMEplay campaigns. Many shop at designated retailers after redeeming coupons and gift certificates during Christmas, and had created chain effect and sales growth for the retail sector.

Launched during 3rd to 31st December, Macau Shopping Festival is a great occasion for retail sector. Per the organizer, Macao had accommodated more than 30,000,000 visitors last year and the group had spent over MOP$65 billion in retail. It is believed the fest can optimize the structure of visiting tourists and stimulate consumer demand, and hence to inject motivation to local economy.
November is the month for exciting news – MOME’s Director Joe Liu was awarded Gold Award in Young Entrepreneur in Business Awards of Macau 2016.
The gala dinner and awarding ceremony of the 4th Business Awards of Macau was held in Grand Lisboa on 24th November. The Young Entrepreneur category acknowledges the outstanding entrepreneurial spirit and achievements of entrepreneurs younger than 40 years old.
Joe Liu and Joseph Chan co-founded MOME Media & Marketing in 2013. In three years’ time, its business model is becoming more mature in 2016. For instance, the number of installed mobile monitors is over 1,000, the agency also becomes the sole taxi mobile media provider in Macau. Its digital platform MOMEplay, have gained positive reputation over the public with average participation of 100,000 people.
Revealed during the award acceptance speech, Liu expressed his gratitude to his team and partners. “I am very lucky, I am very fortunate, I am able to make a lot of good friends, along the way I get a lot of great support.”
At this stage, MOME is ready to expand its business in South East Asia and Mainland China in the direction of digital marketing and e-ecommerce. “We will continue to work hard, we will continue to innovate, and to make Macau a better place,” Liu concluded.
